Ongoing Teacher

**Position Descriptor**:
The teacher is appointed to Instrumental Music based in Port Pirie or Crystal brook (Kadina Memorial Focus School) and other networks as required. The teacher will work in a network of adjacent Mid-North Schools.

The position requires:

- small group instrumental teaching, individual year 12 tuition and ensemble conducting.
- working as a member of the school staff and in collaboration with other schools
- delivering instrumental programs based on Australian Curriculum and SACE frameworks.

This position includes:

- teaching woodwind and brass instruments in groups in primary years
- teaching one woodwind/brass instrument in groups in secondary years, and other woodwind/brass instruments by negotiation.
- conducting bands and ensembles in primary years, with secondary years by negotiation.
- using IT as appropriate.
- the position may include distance teaching by negotiation.

What you?ll need:

- Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.

1. Describe your approach to planning and delivering an effective instrumental teaching program across multiple sites. Include reference to differentiation and student engagement.
2. Provide examples of your effectiveness in working collaboratively with leadership, teaching colleagues, students and community to enhance student learning outcomes.
3. Outline your pedagogical practices in a small group Woodwind/Brass lesson, which may contain students of mixed year levels and abilities.
