Position Descriptor:

Kadina Memorial School is a large country school with a strong disability sector. The school is seeking a teacher to contribute to this area further, by teaching in a mainstream space in a self-funded support class.

The successful candidate will have strong trauma informed practices to support students from these backgrounds in a class that is supported by several SSOs and is seen as a bas class for students to use whilst still accessing their mainstream electives.

This could become an ongoing job, were the candidate to suit the schools needs.

With a Leader of Disability and Intervention and another Leader for Inclusion, the school truly looks to support all students, as well as the staff who are involved working with these students.

The successful candidate must have a passion for the area, whether it be working with students from a trauma background or those who need more support. They will need to be able to be part of a team, supporting their SSOs with their role, as well as working with the teacher with whom they share the class.
