**The Role**
Simulation Precinct - Adelaide maintains effective relationships with local units to plan, design and execute virtual and constructive simulation supported training events, inclusive of enabling after action reviews.

The position is responsible to the Battle Simulation Site (BSS) Manager for on-going operations and management of the BSS in particular the governance and management of resources that enables the BSS to deliver simulation enablers to its customers in both a land and joint environment.

The position must maintain effective liaison with all potential simulation users. This requires regular communication with senior military commanders at unit, training establishments and formation level.

Duties include:

- Manage the conduct of the simulation support activities.
- Deliver simulation training.
- Manage and maintain simulation systems.
- Create simulation scenarios, data and terrain.
- Perform the duties of BSS Manager in their absence.
- Assistant BSS Supply Customer Account holder and Assistant Building Floor Warden.
- Complete general tasks (including research and writing tasks) as directed.

**About our Team**
Land Simulation, Army Knowledge Centre is responsible for the delivery of virtual and constructive simulation support to Army to enable Force Generation, Force Preparation and Force Modernisation. Simulation support is delivered at Army’s seven Battle Simulation Sites via the persistent Land Simulation Network which enables local and distributed virtual, constructive and federated training activities.

BSS-A provides direct support to Adelaide based units including the elements of 1st Brigade (South) and 9th Brigade as well as providing support to other ADF units both in the Adelaide area and across the country. It has the ability to link with other BSS sites to conduct inter-brigade training and testing. BSS-A also provides support to Defence Science and Technology Group, and other civilian elements for testing and professional development.

They need to be a reliable self-starter capable of working within a small integrated team often without direction or guidance; but still achieving results in accordance with higher level intent.
