Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
The Art Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With our expanded campus the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the role**
Provide high level administrative and project coordination support for events and the annual giving program for the Art Gallery’s donors to ensure a continually increasing source of funds for the Art Gallery’s acquisition programs, exhibition funding and learning and participation programming. This includes a specific focus on cultivating and stewarding our VisAsia group, a dynamic group of donors that support Asia Art exhibitions at the Gallery.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Demonstrated high level experience in a previous administrative role and experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- High level of organisation and project management skills along with excellent time management capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management
- Understanding of the cultural nuances of multiple Asian Australian communities when coordinating events
- Significant experience in the use of Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems (CRM).
The following would be an advantage:
1. Previous experience cultivating and stewarding donors for philanthropic gifts
2. Experience work in Arts &Cultural institutions with understanding of their funding priorities and challenges.
3. Mandarin or Cantonese speaker
