We are seeking a Safety Health & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our Safety Health & Wellbeing Team in the People & Culture Division.

**The Opportunity**
As the Safety Health & Wellbeing Business Partner you will spend a significant amount of time in the field leading SHW initiatives and projects, auditing SHW Management Systems and leading incident investigations across all areas of Hunter Water.
This is a highly interactive role that requires leadership, a high level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels. It is a key role in supporting the Senior SHW Business Partner in delivering the Fatal Risk Program (Lifesavers, and Interactions) and driving a positive SHW culture across the business.
**What you'll do**:
- Providing a high level of SHW expertise across all areas of the business.
- Focus on building safety leadership capability with front line leaders including safety interaction, risk management and basic investigation techniques.
- Support Leaders to drive continuous improvement via their SHW Committee and the SHW Risk Registers.
- Lead investigations of incidents utilising ICAM, or other incident analysis tools.
- Lead a variety of SHW projects and risk reduction programs that address Hunter Water’s exposure to our Fatal Risks.
- Participation in the SHW seven-day rotating after hours on-call roster.
**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Safety or be able to demonstrate transferrable skills from other roles.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role working within high risk industries i.e. utilities, infrastructure, maintenance, engineering or construction.
- Class C Drivers licence.
- Auditor and Investigator Qualifications.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office suite and using databases.
- Ability to develop timely and accurate SH&W reports and metrics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Other relevant industry qualifications or experience i.e. in trades or engineering
- Current Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights qualifications.
- Experience working in process safety.
- Experience in psychosocial awareness and management
