**About Us**

Blacktown Anglican Child Care Centre is a 59 place, not for profit long day care service catering for children aged 0-6 years of age. Our core foundations are Love, acceptance and respect for everyone and affirming the worth of every individual in the eyes of God. We are a community based childcare centre with a Christian philosophy and approach to education for children.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to be a full time Diploma Room leader and a second full time Diploma educator at our service.

The centre operates 7:00 - 6:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful applicant must be able to work a 8 hour shift between the hours of 6:30am
- 6:30pm.

**Requirements**:

- A completed Diploma Qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience in early childhood services
- A valid WWCC number for paid employment
- First Aid Certificate
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with children and families
- Ability to run the room in the absence of the room leader
- Punctual and reliable
- Well presented and mannered
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of NQS and EYLF
- Embed the Reggio Emilia approach into daily practice

**Your main duties include but are not limited to**:

- Assisting other educators to implement the education program
- Contributing to the education program
- Supervision of children
- Playing with children and extending their interests through a play based curriculum
- General cleaning duties
- Meeting the dietary requirements and routine requirements for children including those with medical conditions
- Attend relevant training and staff meetings
