**About the role**
The **Policy Liaison Officer** undertakes extensive consultation with a broad range of stakeholders across TAFE SA to understand business activity and requirements that support the preparation of briefings, policy, and position statements. Undertaking collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to ensure consistent accurate advice is developed.
Effectively communicating and collaborating with the business to successfully prepare detailed policies, briefings and board papers whilst working in a highly dynamic environment. The Policy Liaison Officer will assist the business in determining priorities and identify opportunities and risks to ensure that critical deadlines are met.
As an essential liaison between the OCE and the broader organisation, the Policy Liaison Officer ensures that business units have a thorough understanding of the requirements and expectations to deliver high-quality and consistent information, in the correct format for the relevant audience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparing and contributing to well-researched briefings, reports, and notes on sensitive, highly confidential, and complex policy issues in a timely manner.
- Developing and monitoring the implementation of policy reforms, including reviewing policy advice from across TAFE SA and Government to identify emerging trends, key issues, opportunities, and risks.
- Providing expert advice to the Office of the Chief Executive that identifies strategic policy opportunities and issues impacting on TAFE SA.
- Providing expert consultancy and guidance, contributing to the design, development, implementation, and review of TAFE SA strategic initiatives.
- Liaising with the Executive Team to support the coordination and development of policy, briefings, and strategic advice.
- Identifying, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships and a network of alliances with stakeholders across TAFE SA, government, and key stakeholders.

**Special Conditions**
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
- Some out of hours work will be required.
- Intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
