Principal Consultant needed to join a State Government Department in July

**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for a Principal Consultant to join their team. This role requires you to work full time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced a Principal Consultant your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Deliver proactive, client-centred regulatory services to existing and proposed education providers in Western Australia
- Manage project budgets, report on project tasks, identify and manage risks and issues, and provide advice and recommendations on risk mitigation and process improvements.
- Provide leadership and support within the Branch in managing an integrated system for the regulation of new and registered education organisations
- Establish, coordinate and maintain strategic partnerships and networks with government and non-government organisations
- Review and develop strategic and business planning processes and manage implementation of systems and processes
- Manage development and implementation of information and communication technologies to facilitate efficient and effective regulatory practices.
- Monitor emerging issues and areas likely to impact on education, regulation, registration and compliance, and analyse and report on these matters

- Ability to work in a team
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate good organisation skills
- State Government experience
- Experience in the planning and delivery of risk-based regulation activities
- Experience in conceptualising, developing and analysing policy and strategy
