We are currently seeking to appoint the next great **Consultant **and **Principal Consultant** level hire.

The roles will be primarily based in our **Perth **office with the option to **work from home 2-3 days per week** (if desired).

WSP has one of the largest Contaminated Sites teams in Western Australia, a part of our national Geo-environmental team comprising more than 280 scientists and engineers. Your work will include the full life cycle of contaminated site assessments across a range of projects including:

- Abandoned mine processing facilities
- Decommissioning programs on large upstream oil and gas sites
- Transport infrastructure projects including rail, road and ports
- Property transaction due diligence assessments
- Downstream oil and gas sites
- Mine sites
- Defence projects

**What you’ll do**

As a Consultant, you will:

- Leverage your geological logging and hydrogeological interpretation skills during field-based visits
- Interrogate data, develop conceptual site models and prepare detailed and concise field notes
- Draft technical assessments reports and recommendations

As a Principal Consultant, you will:

- Quality control the work produced by your team
- Contribute to building the pipeline of work focusing on our key sectors of energy, mining and infrastructure
- Retain, develop and attract talent to achieve growth and technical excellence in the Contaminated Sites discipline
- Build your brand and be a key contributor to the extended Environment leadership team which includes supporting people, client, operational and health and safety initiatives

**About you**

You are enthusiastic, reliable and great at building collaborative working relationships.

At the Consultant level, you will have:

- Knowledge of soil contaminants and remediation strategies
- Site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil and gas
- Understanding of local regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites
- A current Australian Driver’s License
- You’re likely to have tertiary education in earth sciences or environmental science/engineering

At the Principal Consultant level, you will have:

- Typically 10+ years’ experience overseeing field programs
- Deep experience in providing technical expertise and strategic advice to clients
- Experience in leading subcontractors on multiple sites in both assessment and remediation activities
- Competent in identifying and managing risk on projects
- An inspiring, motivating and encouraging leadership style
- Market eminence and positive client experience endorsement in the local market
