Principal Mining Consultant

Mining Plus is **transforming.**

We are seeking a Senior Principal/Principal Mining Professional to join our growing Underground team

Based in our Perth Office, this role is a key technical role within the Mining Plus Australia and Mining Plus Global team.

We are on the lookout for a business-oriented, technical expert with a solid background in underground mining and caving software who can help develop and mentor our team.

The relationships we develop with our team, clients, partners, and industry are key to our success, and fostering these will be key.

**Core Functions for the Role**
- Key technical and software mentor for the team
- Participation in mining studies scoping, pre-feasibility & feasibility
- Training and system implementations
- Business improvement projects
- Business development
- Project management
- Work as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team within Mining Plus Australia and our global team

**Qualifications and skills required**:

- Demonstrated experience in being a confident and capable technical professional, who excels in utilising Deswik/Datamine/PCSLC/PCBC/PCGA
- You enjoy mentoring team members and peers alongside you
- Legally entitled to live and work in Australia
- 15+ years of mining experience with the relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Project Management or similar
- Ability to conceive and complete work independently
- You can effectively peer review and manage work at an expert level
- Excellent client relationship and networking skills and a solid understanding of financial management and cost control, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great time management and can demonstrate strategic thought
- Project management of large projects/teams
- Ability to generate chargeable work
- Multi-commodity experience and well versed in JORC compliance, and ability to act as CP is well regarded
- Consulting experience is well regarded
