**About this role**:
This award-winning, international architecture practice works across numerous sectors and regions. Design-led and multi-disciplinary, the group has a reputation for outstanding design and a positive, collaborative culture. Due to continued growth, the practice is looking to solidify their push into the master-planning and urban design realm with the appointment of an Urban Design Leader. With the support of urban design specialists in the group’s other offices, take projects from initial bid phase through to handover, and build your team as you go.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead key projects and win work
- Lead and manage the Urban Design team
- Develop relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Produce advanced level sketch design, design reports, drawings and specifications
- Ensure documents comply with relevant codes, standards, strategic planning and strategy
- Contribute to design crits by providing expert advice relating to Public Realm design

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary degree in Architecture or Urban Design from Australia or NZ (or a recognised equivalent tertiary qualification)
- Experience in leading design teams in the development of complex urban spaces
- Demonstrated track record of winning work and maintaining successful client relationships
- Network within government projects (i.e. transport and infrastructure) preferred
- Extensive experience in working with community groups and forming effective collaborative relationships with consultants
- Extensive experience in regulatory framework, strategic planning, and strategy
- Extensive experience in managing project profitability, managing risk, formal QA processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Motivated and positive outlook
