Football Australia is the national governing body for football in Australia and a member of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body for football. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this Sydney-based role will lead and deliver People and Culture projects, policies, programs and practices, which facilitate delivery of Football Australia’s strategic and operational plans. Key focus areas include Engagement, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Management, Diversity & Inclusion and HR generalist advice. This role will primarily provide HR advice and support to Football Australia’s high-performance departments with a focus on aligning and connecting across all departments.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Support the delivery of projects within the high-performance unit that focuses on workforce planning, staff wellbeing and engagement
- Support the Performance Director in the implementation and improvement of national team wellbeing, member protection and psychological safety initiatives, in collaboration with Wellbeing managers as well as MPO
- Control and coordinate activities such as Human Resources administration, employment relations, salary administration, employment visas, workplace health and safety, induction and activities relating to equal employment opportunities
- Through a thorough understanding of relevant employment legislation, facilitate the management of grievances, employee relations, and performance management along with any other queries that arise from time to time, promoting a fair and compliant workforce
- Lead the engagement and contract management of all National Team workforce requirements
- Working closely with the Head of Women’s Football, Legacy and Inclusion, develop and implement the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) framework including engagement strategies that creates an inclusion environment for LGBTIQ+, Women, Multicultural, First Nations People, all Ability communities. Ensure HR implements the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) actions
**ABOUT YOU**
**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**:
- Experience working within Sport and/or High-Performance environments
- 3-4 years’ experience overseeing a human resource function including with respect to workforce planning, recruitment, organisation and employee development, employee relations, employee engagement and organisational change, work, health and safety, developing best-practice HR information systems and reporting
- Demonstrated experience serving as a knowledgeable resource and advisor to people leaders and senior managers
- Experience developing and implementing workforce inclusion, equity and diversity initiatives
- Applied knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR practices and performance management systems
- Personable nature and the ability to build strong and positive relationships with internal stakeholders
- Ability to ‘think on your feet’ and progress difficult/challenging discussions while inspiring confidence
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, while dealing sensitive issues and personal information
- Ability to work productively and energetically to progress many matters simultaneously in a busy and demanding organisation
- Strong systems and MS program capabilities
