**About the Role**

Applications for suitably qualified for the position of Partnerships Lead within the South East Public Health Unit. The Partnerships Lead will work with other SEPHU staff and stakeholders to plan, lead and manage projects towards successfully achieving identified population health priorities for the catchment. This role will lead the Falls Prevention priority area initially, with scope for work across other health priority areas according to catchment priority. The position is offered on full time permanent basis.

**About the Department**

The South East public Health Unit (SEPHU) is a major component of a once in a generation reform of public health delivery in Victoria. The new system consists of three Melbourne metropolitan Public Health Units (North Eastern (NEPHU), Western (WPHU) and South East (SEPHU), who are linked with six Regional Public Health Units and the Department of Health. The South East Public Health Unit (SEPHU) sits within Monash Health and was established initially to strengthen the public health response to COVID-19. Functions of SEPHU have been expanded to encompass broader health functions, including health prevention and promotion. Reporting to the Senior Partnerships Lead in the Health Promotion and Partnerships team, the Partnerships Lead will be an integral part of SEPHU to support outcome focused health promotion and prevention strategy development and implementation across the cacthment.

**About You**

You are an experienced Public Health and/or Health Promotion professional with energy, drive, and a flexible work approach. You have excellent community engagement, project management and communication skills as well as experience contributing to the delivery of small and large scale projects, ideally in the health, community or public health setting. Experience in the Falls or Aged Care sectors is advantageous but not essential.

**What you need**:

- A Bachelor Degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years health promotion or public health experience
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement and/or stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in successful delivery of projects, ideally in the health, community or public health setting
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

**Desirable**:

- Post graduate qualification in a related area
- Experience in the Falls and/or Aged Care sectors

**Other Requirements**:

- Current Drivers Licence
