Production and Assembly Assistant

**We are after a full-time junior (under 21) to assist in production of our temperature loggers as well as assisting with getting orders together.** **NOTE**:We will NOT be employing a university student for this role. This is NOT a casual position and we can not offer flexibility around exams and assignments. This role is a bit of an odd one. It is not a manufacturing role or production line. This is mostly working "out the back" to do tasks like: - copy SD cards - screw cases together - make cardboard boxes - put things in the boxes - sign Express Post bags - decant a hand washing training product from 5L to 240ml bottles - put things in bags It may also include: - assisting with getting orders ready - processing orders (entering them in MYOB) **We monitor the temperature of vaccine and hospitality fridges. We believe in both an exceptional product and exceptional customer service. We are now after an exceptional person to help ensure orders are prepared correctly and available for immediate shipping.** **DAYS and HOURS** This is a full-time position (35+ hours per week). We are slightly flexible with start and finish times. Initially it will need to be somewhere between 8am and 5:30 but once you don't need supervision it can be somewhere between 7am and 6pm. **PAY** The pay will be marginally above the minimum wage. I wish it could be higher, and hopefully we will grow that bit more where that will be possible. This means that if you are under 21, the pay will be lower than what is listed here. Indeed doesn't allow us to show a lower income. It will be better than flipping burgers **ABOUT US** **ABOUT YOU** (skills and capabilities) You must be happy to work alone and be self motivated. A large chunk of the day will require you to put on some music (or not) and just get on with doing a particular task. This is a good job for an introvert who is happy to work alone. You must have attention to detail. You must be able to follow a procedure (but we are always happy to discuss ways to do things better). You will be doing a repetitive task and it needs to be done consistently well. You will also be a part of a small company. We like to think that we are nice people and a happy place to work. You must be able to get along with the other person who prepares orders. We are flexible on hours during the week. This can be a school hours friendly role, but it is part time. We can't be flexible around school holidays or university exam periods. You **must be customer focused** and willing to go above & beyond for an exceptional customer experience. Most of the time you won't be dealing directly with customers, but we want the entire company to know that our success is based on an exceptional customer experience. You **need to have a sense of humour** (we believe a good laugh and a smile can change someone’s day) and be open to instruction / discussion / feedback. Sufficiently **computer savvy and tech savvy** ~ you must know your way around computers and have an ability to learn about a technical product. There isn't a huge amount of computer learning involved, but you do need to be comfortable with computers. You must be a **NON-SMOKER**, and that includes vaping. We are located in **Castle Hill NSW 2154 (AUSTRALIA).** We support our locals, so we ideally want a local person.
