- Role Summary
- We are seeking a MedChart Functional Consultant who will be responsible for successful project implementations including post go-live support in the ANZ region for the Dedalus MedChart product.
- Projects are focused on implementation of Dedalus’ software and solutions into new and existing customers (public and private hospitals and other healthcare providers), along with integrating the broader portfolio of Dedalus offerings including cloud, workplace, security, and analytics solutions.
- It is a requirement that the MedChart Functional Consultant has demonstrated strong proficiency in working with the MedChart product as well as an understand for the effective integration of third-party systems. Proficiency is defined as the ability to support, troubleshoot, and configure MedChart.
- This role will work closely with the MedChart Stakeholders including the Solution Specialist, Project and Product Managers, Support and Development teams to define, document and deliver Project requirements. During project down-time, the MedChart Functional Consultant will provide support services to ANZ clients.
- You are required to be able to contribute to the design, the creation, and the delivery of a solution to our customers. This solution may involve a single, or several Dedalus products including existing products and new generation products not yet implemented at sites.
- Development within the role will lead to further internal cross training of other staff members, and growth opportunities to become proficient in other Dedalus ANZ related solutions.
- The role includes interaction with resources from across the globe to achieve desired outcomes.

Job Functions
- Provide support for Dedalus clients under the direction of the PS Clinical Solutions Manager
- Assist Project Manager/s in the execution of project activities
- Functional, Performance and Integration User Acceptance Testing
- System customisations during an installation as indicated in the contract
- Software issue reporting, investigation and resolution
- Regression/deliverable testing on patch upgrades/ to client sites
- Documentation
- Client training/consultations for the MedChart product suite
- SQL basics for database interrogation
- Liaising with clients re: functional queries/possible change requests
- Establishment of new site databases (configuration and other aspects)
- Manage client data discrepancies/faults
- Primary point of contact during software implementation
- Identifying issues/enhancements during implementation phase and reporting these to relevant Project Managers and Development heads.
- Participate in tender responses for completion of functional and technical responses
- Assist Sales with Product queries
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving trends and standards in health informatics in relationship to Healthcare opportunity and ensure timely communication of potential impacts or improvements to Healthcare’s product offerings
- Contribute to Healthcare’s aspirations as a thought leader and innovator regarding improving healthcare outcomes
- Assist in the education and mentoring of other Healthcare staff to provide greater levels of customer engagement and improve the quality of service and software delivery
- Participate in issue identification and rectification as required with support and product management teams
- Assist in Implementation Planning Studies prior to implementation of Dedalus product or solutions
- Perform a key role in Post-Implementation Reviews after the implementation of Dedalus product or solutions
- Education & Experience
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Health, Pharmacy, Nursing and/or an Information Systems Domain is highly desirable
- Minimum 3 years functional MedChart experience in the healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic Medication Management (eMM), electronic Pharmaceutical services or similar products
- Highly developed experience and skills in presentation delivery and public communication
- High-level of knowledge with Health Industry Skills in business analysis, and requirement definition
- Work Environment
- Brisbane based office to assist with a collaborative, team approach
- Combination of office environment, customer location or remote working. Dedalus follow all local rules and regulations for COVID-19 working conditions.
- 10% travel for customer meetings or project "go lives" domestic and or international.
- Some flexibility with working hours as required to work with Dedalus teams in different timezones.
