Community Engagement Advisor, Sydney, Hybrid Role

Working in the Public Sector, The Communication & Engagement Unit works across the organisation to provide a range of communication, public relations and engagement services to support a range of services.

**Your new role**

What you'll need to succeed
- Essential:

- Lead community engagement planning through providing strategic advice and support across the organisation and within the Strategy & Engagement team to optimise engagement with community stakeholders; and
- Provide broad communications advice and support to the organisation business units.
- **Degree in Communications or related discipline, or demonstrated relevant experience**:

- **Current NSW Drivers Licence**

- **An ability to generate successful outcomes for Council and the community because you**:

- **Bring significant experience in community and stakeholder engagement role/s**
***:

- **Have a strong understanding of community engagement methodologies and significant experience in developing, delivering and measuring stakeholder engagement strategies**

- **Have demonstrated ability to engage and communicate with diverse groups of people across diverse channels, tailoring your approach to suit specific stakeholder group/s or topics**
***:

- **Have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders**
***:

- **Have strong research capabilities and an ability to interpret and analyse a wide breadth of information and issues**
***:

- **Have strong time management skills and an ability to manage competing deadlines**
***

Desirable:

- IAP2 Qualification
- Experience in a Council role
- First Aid Cert
