PERSOLKELLY has an opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our client site at Crestmead. This role is Monday - Friday, 38 hrs/ week. Our client is a trusted iconic Australian brand for food and beverages.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Laboratory waste control, washing up, cleaning of laboratory and equipment.
- Aseptic product sampling and collection of external testing samples.
- Media and reagent preparation.
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Environmental swabbing for hygiene indication and pathogen detection.
- Chemical and Microbiological testing on raw materials, finished product and packaging.
- Liaise with multiple departments to help drive a quality culture across the site.
- Recording results, report writing and escalation of out of specification results.

**Skills and experience required to succeed in this role**:

- Previous experience working in food and beverage lab manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.
- Degree in Microbiology or equivalent.
- Certificate in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft word and excel.
- Understanding of HACCP and GMP principles.
- Demonstrated compliance to Quality / Safety standards, procedures and practices.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually when required.
- Willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
