We are seeking a Research Coordinator/Research Fellow, Macromolecular Photochemistry to join Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.

Research in the School of Chemistry and Physics spans a range of topics including:

- Studies of particles, fields and radiation and their interaction with matter.
- The design, synthesis, characterisation and study of the properties of molecules and materials from experimental and computational perspectives.

**What you need to succeed**
- Completion of a doctoral qualification a relevant field such as polymer chemistry and/or synthetic organic chemistry as well as a strong highly quality publication track record.
- Demonstrated practical experience in synthesis in the development of novel photoreactive compounds and materials.
- Demonstrated strong ability to use of variety of techniques employed for the characterisation of organic molecules and materials such as NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, HPLC, GPC, UV/vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Experience in the use of tuneable laser system is highly welcomed.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and experience in providing advice and guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students and other team members.
- Demonstrated synthetic laboratory management skills including knowledge of health and safety, ethics and intellectual property policies and procedures; routine equipment maintenance, chemical ordering and cataloguing, and waste disposal procedures.
