**Business Contribution**:

- To carry out all control valve and associated ancillary work, to the relevant work instructions, procedures, specifications, drawings, and acceptable trade practices.
- Assists with the assembly and tightening of bolted joints, maintaining equipment maintenance & repair.
- Through the promotion of Hydratight’s service business, deliver sales revenue growth for the company in the Valve Maintenance & repair sector. Establish Hydratight as a preferred specialty supplier for shutdown and major maintenance services across the Customers in Western Australia and Northern Territories

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Works assembling and tightening bolted joints and other Flange Management activities
- Correctly uses bolt tensioning and torque equipment.
- Adheres to safe and specified pressures when tightening or torque joints.
- Have the sound understanding of Hydrostatic and Gas testing requirements and procedures of various valve types from a control perspective.
- Have regular input into company’s knowledge base to include all valves and associated equipment procedures, new valve technology and the ability to distribute to staff.
- To undertake mechanical trades-based work including fitting & machining.
- To undertake diagnosis & repairs on reduction drive gearboxes & actuation systems.
- Maintenance & testing of process relief valves, pilot operated safety valves, vacuum & thermal relief valves.
- To undertake in-situ online testing of safety relief devices using Preven test units
- Providing the support & knowledge required to customers.
- Maintain and develop relationship with decision makers / key influencers within major customers to position Hydratight services for sustainable growth.
- Work closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure the highest standard of service is delivered to customers through timely delivery of quality equipment and competent manpower
- Drive the enthusiasm to implement the continuous improvement program tools into responsible area
- Be an ambassador for Safety and Quality Excellence by proactively participating in safety campaigns and driving improvements.
- Represent Hydratight in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. To follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Complies with specific task requirements including identifying potential hazards using risk assessments.
- Follows all reasonable instructions given by more experienced Hydratight Technicians on site.
- Correctly uses all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
- Accurate and timely completion and submission of all job-related documentation including flange tightening reports/joint completion certificates, customer time sheets and expenses forms.
- Works closely with other disciplines on site to ensure the professional and safe completion of all tasks.
- Interfaces with the client on site in a professional manner and always represents Hydratight to the highest standards.
- Works predominantly within all onshore and offshore environments.
- Adheres to all site related procedures and processes including permit to work etc.
- Carries out all duties with a Safety-First attitude towards the equipment and working environment.
- Maintains Company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Acts and cooperates with ensuring the consistent quality of products and services to customers.
- Participates in process improvement activities and uses appropriate tools - kaizen events, value stream maps, 5S, shadow boards etc.
- Maintains a high standard of tidiness within own work area.

**Required Capabilities**:

- Strong team player, with a flexible and positive attitude and the ability to work with others.
- Takes pride in the quality of the work.
- Has clean working habits & is willing to go to the extra mile when sometimes required.
- Full driving license.
- Strong Ability to use Computer and Microsoft Office software to generate various reports, and data management.
- Able to work efficiently in matrix organization
- Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills

**Education and Experience**:

- Full served mechanical apprenticeship preferred.
- Offshore survival certificate and medical.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in valve trouble shooting and overhaul techniques.
- Task based risk assessment training preferred.
