Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Mechanical Supervisors with strong background in maintenance contracts on sites in Australia and overseas.

POSITION SUMMARY

The position will be predominantly FIFO with periods working in the office or workshop during the absence of site work. Depending on the candidate experience, a casual probation period, including working hands on as a leading hand, may be required for the candidate to become familiar with equipment types serviced by Camco. The main focus of this role will involve onshore oil and gas plant brownfield modifications and maintenance work scopes on key equipment including:

  • General Oil & Gas process & utility equipment and piping;
  • Marine Loading Arms including associated hydraulic systems;
  • Cryogenic pumps;
  • Mooring hooks and Capstans;
  • Rotating Equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to motivate and manage works teams consisting of between 4 – 20 personnel to deliver work scopes on budget and schedule in accordance with Client and Camco HSEQ standards and specifications;
  • Act as the  onsite interface with the Client representative and provide all necessary communications with the Camco Project Manager in Perth;
  • Coordinate with Plant Operations with  respect to permit creation, issue and control;
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times;
  • Input into work execution estimates, tenders and assist with job card and work pack preparation;
  • Plan and schedule work scopes;
  • Oversee site team in aspects of Technical and day to day coordination and Personal Management and work closely with the assigned Level 3

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Proven 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Maintenance and Brownfield Modifications, ideally with exposure to Jetty based mechanical equipment;
  • It is desirable for the candidate to hold, or have previously held, a Level 1 IRATA, or equivalent qualification, or be willing to obtain one as part of the role
  • Demonstrated Oil & Gas Maintenance supervisory experience for a contractor with small teams, operating as the contractor focal point on site;
  • Familiarity with supervising or working with rope access teams;
  • Must have experience in supervising fixed price and schedule of rates work scopes to deliver results on time and within budget;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with Client and work group;
  • A hands on attitude, strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously;
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Proof of right of work in Australia.
