Our Economics, Population and Land Use Forecasting team are currently seeking a Property Analyst on an ongoing basis to provide research and land use analysis primarily for the monitoring and forecasting of housing supply. These insights inform government decision making for infrastructure planning, service delivery and strategic planning across NSW.

The role will provide analytical support to several public-facing projects including the Greater Sydney Urban Development Program, the Sydney Housing Supply Forecast and the Employment Lands Development Monitor. The role will collaborate with other parts of the division involved in precinct planning, data collection and analysis, and digital tools development. Importantly, the role will utilise the latest technologies and analytical methods to further improve the Team’s land use forecasting capabilities.

**About You**

As a successful team member, you will provide accurate information to multiple stakeholders in the Department and across Government, despite high volumes and competing deadlines. You will be able to communicate clear summaries of complex evidence-based insights in plain English to a variety of users.

In addition you will have oversight of and undertake analytical tasks to support the Team’s core land use forecasting role including developing, operating and maintaining forecasting models using Microsoft Excel and GIS software.

To be successful within the role you will need to be a strong team player with exceptional analytical skills.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, property, planning, or related discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of strategic and statutory planning, including housing policy
