Grounds Maintenance Staff

We have full-time on-going positions available now for people that want to work in the great outdoors & have an eye for detail. These are NOT seasonal roles they are genuine full time 365-day positions. AFL has a team member position available in our mobile crew and a Team Member at the Randwick Defence Force base.

These positions are for general grounds maintenance activities including Lawn mowing (push & ride-on), gardening, chemical spraying, & minor tree maintenance.

Position Details:

- Monday to Friday - 38hr work week.
- 4 ½ day week.
- Wages paid weekly.
- Genuine overtime on offer.

Key responsibilities:

- Perform grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, sweeping / blowing, pruning, hedge / tree trimming, general gardening, & basic weed control.
- Be proactive in providing quality & safe grounds maintenance activities.
- Ensure all landscaping equipment is always maintained & is in a safe working order.
- Ensure all required job paperwork is completed in a professional manner.
- Operate all equipment & machinery in a safe & professional manner.
- Ensure PPE is used for required tasking.
- Must have a Proven ability to work effectively in a small team & contribute to a positive & productive work culture.
- Ability to respond appropriately to supervisor’s directions & adjust to a variety of work environments & carry out diverse tasks as required, including working with limited supervision at times.
- Polite, professional, & well presented.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

- Have a working knowledge of basic grounds maintenance equipment.
- Be able to discuss basic grounds maintenance activities, principles, & tasks.
- Be able to discuss workplace safety including PPE for grounds maintenance activities.

Essential employment requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in garden and lawn maintenance
- Formal qualifications in Horticulture, Landscape construction, or a related field.
- Chainsaw certification.

**Salary**: $25.63 - $30.37 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
