About the School
Boonah State High School has been proudly serving the Fassifern community since 1965. In that time it has progressed from an opening enrolment of 225 students to 685 today. The Boonah State High School curriculum is designed to provide opportunities for all students to pursue their interests and gain a strong foundation for further study or preparedness for the world of work. The school promotes an atmosphere which encourages all students to become involved and 'have a go' no matter what their strengths and weaknesses. Integral to the success of this unique school is our strong relationship with our local community. This relationship is important and the opportunities to get involved with our community are highly valued.
About the Role
As the Principal, you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on
- providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
