Join a passionate team that brings ideas to life and makes discovery part of everyday experience.** **ABOUT THE POSITION**: The primary responsibility of the Programs Officer, Early Years STEM will be to assist in the successful facilitation of professional learning workshops and ensuring that program delivery and communications engage participants and stakeholders and contribute to achieving the objectives of Museums Victoria and the Victorian Department of Education. **Some of the key duties include**: - Developing and preparing learning support materials for early childhood programs. - Assisting with the set-up, delivery, and facilitation of in-person and virtual professional learning sessions. - Using digital tools to deliver engaging virtual programs and manage technical issues. - Supporting administrative tasks related to program delivery, communication, and reporting. - Contributing to discussions on early childhood programs, events, and exhibitions. - Assisting with evaluation processes, data collection, and debriefs. - Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. **The successful applicant will have**: - Demonstrated ability to interpret STEM and/or science for Early Childhood adult audiences. - Sound understanding of varying Early Childhood environments (family day care, long day care, sessional kindergarten) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) - Experience using standard software to compile and update documents (such as Microsoft PowerPoint), and deliver presentations and information in a collaborative, live virtual environment. **OTHER INFORMATION** This role is a part time (0.4 FTE), fixed term position ending 30 June 2026. The salary on offer is VPS2.2 base of grade - $70,086 per annum + 12% Superannuation. This position offers flexibility to work around other commitments (two days per week).
