At ComputerXplorers, we bring technology to life for kids aged 5-13 through After School Clubs, Holiday Programs, and Weekend Academies. Our mission is simple: to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young minds while preparing them for a technology-driven future.
The Role
We're looking for enthusiastic and energetic STEM Instructors to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver fun and engaging computer and technology classes to primary-aged children in their own school. From coding and game design to robotics and digital creativity, you'll guide kids through hands-on adventures that blend learning with excitement.
This is a casual role (5-10 hours per week) perfect for anyone passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation. There's also opportunity for week long blocks during our holiday camps throughout the year.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging STEM lessons in schools and program venues
- Support and inspire children to develop new skills and confidence
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with our team and school staff to ensure smooth delivery
- Set up and manage equipment before each class
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching or coaching children (education, sports, tutoring, etc.)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for working with kids and sparking their interest in STEM
- Ability to work independently and adapt on the go
- Awareness of current educational technology trends is a bonus
Nice to Have (but not essential):
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or related field
- First Aid certification
- Driver's licence
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
