**About the Role**

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitters to join our close-knit team at Karara.
This long term role is undertaking Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Services for the processing plant dewatering Filters Area
Position is FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton on an 8/6 roster
Permanent Full Time and Casual positions are available at a payrate of:
Permanent Full Time: Dayshift $51.00 per hour and Nightshift $56.00 per hour
- Superannuation contributions 10.5% will be paid at 7.6 Hrs / day for all days worked at site
- Accommodation and meals are provided onsite
- Karara Mine is located 250km inland from Geraldton and only a 45-minute flight from Perth
- Commencement date: ASAP

**Duties**
- Undertake preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with the maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow up action
- Undertake rebuilds on slurry and centrifugal pumps as well as with associated piping and valves
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures
- Desire to upskill and achieve a higher standard

**Requirements**:

- Lathe and milling work desirable but not essential
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate or equivalent (Mechanical Fitting/Turning)
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry tickets (2 years from issued date)
- Nationally accredited OHS card (White card)
- High Risk Work Licence: Rigging, Forklift and CN (desirable)
- Driver’s Licence
- Ability to follow verbal & written instructions
- Must pass Pre-employment Medical, DAS and Respirator Fit Test
- Onsite D&A test carried out daily
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Eastern States applicants are welcome to apply
