Your Role
**As the Principal Data Analyst you will**:
- Provide analytical insights to inform the strategic and operational work of the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority to deliver its objectives under the relevant early childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation and within the context of the Regulating for Quality policy.
- Perform complex statistical analysis and leverage data visualisation techniques to identify trends, communicate issues and anomalies, and lead risk analysis and regulatory performance-measurement activities
- Establish strong collaborative relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to communicate data driven insights in a non-technical way to inform regulatory planning and decision-making.
The Principal Data Analyst reports to the Manager, Standards, Early Childhood Regulatory Authority, Early Childhood Division.
About You
While there are no mandatory requirements, the following are desirable:
- Tertiary qualification in data science or a related discipline
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Experience querying data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Experience in risk analysis and developing, maintaining and reporting on organisational performance
- Experience in task management, project scheduling and working to deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in regulation contexts.
