**Environmental Services Assistant - Monash Medical Centre (Clayton)**

**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Monash Medical Centre, Clayton is seeking experienced Environmental Services Assistants to join our team. With a number of opportunities, a variety of areas to work including the logistics, laundry and operating theatres and AM and PM shifts available.

**Environmental Services Assistant positions available**:
**Position 1 - Cleaning of Public Facilities (Toilets and common areas)**

Thursday and Friday 8:00 - 16:00

Saturday and Sunday 8:30 - 17:00
- (62 hours per fortnight)_

**Position 2 - Laundry**

Monday to Friday: 9:00 to 4:30
- (75 hours per fortnight)_

**Position 3 - Cleaning of Operating Theatres**

**Week 1**
Monday & Tuesday 21:00 - 05:06

**Week 2**

Monday and Tuesday 21:00 - 05:06

Saturday and Sunday 20:00 - 04:06
- (45.6 hour per fortnight)_

**Position 4 - Logistics, waste and linen removal including general cleaning**
Saturday and Sunday 14:30 - 22:00
- (30 hours per fortnight) _

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities can include but not limited to:

- Environmental cubicle / Theatre cleaning
- Cleaning of floors surfaces
- Waste segregation and removal / transport to man loading dock
- Linen removal and transport to the main linen loading dock for removal
- Cleaning of amenities

Additional for theatre cleaning position:

- Detail cleaning of operating theatres and other clinical and non-clinical areas of theatre

Additional for Laundry position:

- Washing, folding and packing of cleaning cloths and mops
- Cleaning of laundry

- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks

**What you need**:

- Certificate III Cleaning Services _(Desirable)_
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
- Current Victorian drivers licence_ (Desirable)_
