**The Role**
The Migrant Skills Assessments Branch is the assessing authority for a range of technical and trade occupations in support of the Government’s skilled migration program.
The purpose of these assessments is to ensure that an applicant is able to perform at the required skill level for their nominated occupation when working in Australia.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Administrative Support Officer will deliver a range of administration functions to support the Migrant Skills Assessment Branch. The Financial Administration and Assurance team works closely with other teams in the Branch to ensure that program, policy, financial and assurance activities are compliant and managed consistently across the branch. We provide clear advice and support to the branch to ensure executive reporting is accurate and delivered on time.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is able to work collaboratively, able to adapt quickly and provide clear and concise communication.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 4 may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support/coordination activities to the team and broader Branch.
- Assisting with procurement, recruitment and financial administration activities.
- Responding to enquiries from a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Establishing and nurturing stakeholder relationships, including internal and external.
- Researching and assisting in providing information for reporting requirements.
- Managing the Group mailbox (following up on action items with relevant stakeholders)
