**The Role**
**EL1 Security Manager**

The key responsibilities for this position are:

- Managing the emerging Naval Construction Branch security team to maturity.
- Providing security advice to onsite management and employees.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing site security policy and procedures.
- Defence Security Industry Program governance and management for NCB industry contractors.
- Setting Commonwealth security requirements with Industry partners.

- Developing and implementing an ongoing program of security education and awareness for all security cleared staff.
- Assisting and supporting precinct security.
- Delivering facility inductions and briefings as require for specific programs of work.
- Assisting with auditing and assurance of key security lines and functions.
- Contributing to the provision of security advice to onsite management and employees.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and review of site security policy and procedures.
- Assisting with Defence Industry Security Program governance and management for NCB industry contractors.

- Proactively lead Cyber Security Assurance of shipbuilding infrastructure projects and business systems.
- Proactively lead assurance of OT/ ICT security risks.
- Identify emerging cyber risks and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including project/delivery, legal, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, operations to achieve information security.
- Identify and promote education and awareness of Cyber Security Standards.
- Identify and manage a Cyber Security framework for NCB.
- Undertake risk assessment of systems and services according to policy, industry best practice and Government legislation.
- Plan, manage, execute and report on cyber related incident responses and recovery exercises.
- Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to mitigate against vulnerabilities.
- Proactively engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of Cyber Security assurance outcomes.
- Produce reporting against agreed metrics and measurements.

The Naval Construction Branch (NCB) is accountable for the assurance of ship construction, set-to work

and transit of vessels constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard and Henderson precinct.

We are headquartered in Osborne, SA and have a detachment in Henderson, WA.

NCB is furthering Continuous Naval Shipbuilding and growing sovereign capability by overseeing the construction to ensure quality and standards are met, storing lessons learnt and developing standard shipbuilding procedures for construction. NCB will oversee the construction of many different Navy vessels including Offshore Patrol Vessels, Hunter Class
