**The Role**
An Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) opportunity exists at the APS 6 level within the Collins Class Submarine Life of Type Extension Project (LOTE). You will be part of a specialised team responsible for ensuring Australia's submarine capability remains operational beyond their initial life of type. As an ILS Officer, you will be working under broad direction to perform assurance and governance of material logistics. You will need to engage with key stakeholders and liaise to discuss complex issues.

The ILS Section supports the LOTE Project through:

- Developing and maintaining project ILS plans - aligned to Defence policy and best practice - to ensure the updates to the Collins Class Submarines are accompanied by updates to: training, sparing, maintenance and other facets of the Support System.
- Engaging and communicating with stakeholders (Navy, NSSG and Contractors) to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve project outcomes - through formal working groups and relationships.

**About our Team**
The Collins Submarine Program within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. You will have access to generous and attractive working conditions as an Australian Public Servant in Defence.

ILS covers; logistics engineering, Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) and Supply Support.
- Have previous experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) or Integrated Product Support (IPS).
- Have an understand of ILS/IPS processes and activities such as Reliability Analysis (RAM), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Task Analysis, Sparing Analysis, etc.
- Provide support to implement and maintain policy processes and procedures to support the LOTE project.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the strategic and operational level.
- Learn and seek information on Defence policy and ILS/IPS.
