**About the role**:
This full-time permanent role develops and refines site investigation strategies to provide appropriate, cost effective and timely geophysical and geotechnical data to support engineering design and business case refinement for offshore wind projects.

The role interfaces with environmental, planning, stakeholder engagement, legal and engineering design functions to ensure site investigations are delivered in compliance with all obligations and outputs meet internal customer requirements.

**Duties**:

- Own the offshore wind farm seabed site investigation strategy and refine in response to emerging data and project needs.
- Run procurement process to select site investigation contractors, with support of legal advisors and project development manager. Collaborate with planning and environment workstreams to ensure investigations are executed in compliance with all regulatory obligations and stakeholder commitments.
- Manage the interpretation of site investigation data by consultants to refine ground model and provide input into offshore wind farm design.
- Manage the work performance of self and encourage a high-performance culture for peers, contractors and consultants.
- Proactively identify safety, commercial and technical risks, implement mitigation strategies and escalate risk as required.

**Skills and experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, Geology, Hydrographic Survey, or related disciplines.
- Ability to proactively manage delivery of activities within area of responsibility, including schedule and budget.
- Solid industry experience, including offshore geotechnical engineering and/or offshore survey and/or geomatics.
- Experience working with offshore site investigation contractors, either from contractor side or client side.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

This is an integral role in helping shape Alinta’s future and will contribute to the success of our exciting, high-profile renewable energy project pipeline including the Spinifex Offshore Wind Farm.
