The Melbourne Zoo is on the hunt for a vibrant and energetic Duty Manager to join their Retail and Functions Team. Stepping into this ‘hands-on’ role you will coordinate, lead, and inspire multiple teams to ensure we deliver and exceed our client and customer’s expectations. To be successful in this exciting role, you will be an outstanding communicator, be able to effectively motivate your staff and will ooze a passion for hospitality

**_ The Role_**
- Support the Event operations manager in the day-to-day operations of facilitating a variety of functions
- Lead a team of supervisors and F&B attendants
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking - every day is different
- Manage the retail workforce including rostering, training, and recruitment
- Ensure our safety-first culture is embedded within the team
- Evening & Weekend work and 5-day weekly roster

**_About You_**
- Functions and Retail management experience in food services necessary to run multiple outlets within a site
- Commercially savvy and knows how to identify and deliver on growth opportunities
- Positive, supportive, ambitious leader with experience in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals
- Develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and locations
- Passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
- Is self-motivated and an excellent communicator
