We are working with our client to find an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy team for a 12 month contract on a full time basis. This position is available for an immediate start and is located in Lismore, NSW 2480.

**The Role**

**Key roles & responsibilities**

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Services this role will provide efficient, effective, and consistent accounting operations for the team.
- Reconcile creditor invoices to orders.
- Prepare invoices for payment
- Generate debtors invoices.
- Follow up outstanding invoices.
- Carry out general processing of wage deductions and salary packaging
- Carry out banking as required.
- Assist the Finance function to meet accountability and reporting requirements, including
processing and reconciling of transactions and ledgers.
- Work closely with school support and payroll functions as required.
- Debt collection and management services
- Fees assistance enquiries and processing
- Prepare and issue school fee billing for schools
- Import financial data from online platforms, e.g. Bpay, CompassPay
- Reconcile balance sheet and explain discrepancies
- Data entry and other administrative duties as directed
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Previous bookkeeping experience, such as accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and cash handling procedures
- Experience with Technology One and/or Compass highly regarded.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
