As door staff in a nightclub with the venue having its own security team, your role encompasses a range of responsibilities essential for the smooth operation of the establishment. Here's a detailed description of what your duties might entail:
1. Ticketing: Your primary responsibility is managing the entry of patrons into the nightclub. This involves checking tickets or issuing wristbands to those with pre-purchased tickets, ensuring that only authorised individuals are admitted.

2. Cloakroom Services: Provide a cloakroom service for patrons to store their coats and belongings securely during their time at the venue. This includes issuing cloakroom tickets, retrieving items when requested, and maintaining an organized and efficient system.

3. Cash Handling: Collect cover charges or admission fees from patrons as they enter the club and ensure that the correct amount of cash is taken and given as change. Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, maintaining a high level of integrity and accountability.

4. Customer Service: Offer friendly and helpful customer service to patrons, assisting them with any inquiries or requests they may have. This could include providing directions within the venue, offering recommendations for drinks or amenities, or addressing any concerns they may raise.

5. Reporting to Management: Report any issues or incidents that occur during your shift to management promptly. This includes disturbances, disputes, or breaches of the venue's policies or procedures.

6. Clear Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with other staff members, including security personnel, bartenders, and management, to coordinate operations and address any emerging issues.

7. Enforcing Dress Code: Ensure that patrons adhere to the club's dress code policy, denying entry to anyone who fails to meet the requirements.

Your pay for the night will be $150 for approximately 5 to 6 hours of work. This compensation reflects the importance of your role in managing entry into the nightclub, providing essential services to patrons, and upholding the venue's standards of customer service and security.
