Preschool Field Officer Service Lead

**Full Time Permanent Position**

**PSFO Level 2 + 2.5%** - **$130,201 **per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO**

**The Opportunity**

Melton City Council is seeking a Preschool Field Officer Service Lead to manage the governance and operations, including caseload, of the Preschool Field Officer (PSFO) service to state-funded kindergartens in line with the Department of Education PSFO Guidelines.

You will provide expert guidance and support to early childhood educators, families, and key stakeholders by offering specialized advice, enhancing educator skills, connecting families to necessary resources, promoting the PSFO service, and representing the Council within relevant networks.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Leading, supporting and supervising PSFO staff, including providing opportunities for debriefing, reflection and mentorship.
- Managing an active caseload and prioritising referrals for the effective operation of the PSFO service to ensure delivery priorities and funding obligations are met.
- Providing expert guidance and support to early childhood educators, families and key stakeholders by offering specialised advice, identifying referral pathways and facilitating linkages to support and education services.
- Promoting the PSFO service and strengthening professional partnerships and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and programs.

**About you**

**_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_**
- Tertiary Qualification in Early Childhood Education or current regulatory equivalent.
- Skills and experience in leading, supervising and supporting staff to deliver quality programs and high-level customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, manage and evaluate programs within timeframes, funding guidelines and budgets.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or current Working with Children Check.
