Disability Support Worker

**About the Role**:
We’re seeking a **support worker** to assist a client living with disability challenges who is looking to build confidence, re-engage with the community, and work on daily living goals. The ideal worker will be someone calm, supportive, and proactive — with the emotional intelligence to build trust and help create safe, empowering routines.

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide respectful support with personal care and day-to-day routines
- Support community access (e.g., appointments, shopping, social outings)
- Use active listening, grounding, and reassurance strategies
- Promote independence — assist _with_, not _for_
- Encourage confidence, self-worth, and small wins
- Be someone the client feels safe and heard with

**About You**:

- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or related field, or ongoing degree in Nursing, Allied Health, or Social Work
- Previous experience supporting clients with mental health challenges
- Strong communication and emotional intelligence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & Orientation Module
- Valid First Aid & CPR certifications
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Driver’s license with comprehensive car insurance

- National Police Check (preferred)
