MIGA provides insurance protection backed by a range of support services, which encompass insurance advice, risk management education, claims management and medico-legal support, advocacy, and peer support. We are a dynamic, multifaceted business seeking a Policy & Advocacy Manager, with passion and drive to support the business.

**Your new role**
This role reports to MIGA’s National Manager - Risk Services based in either Sydney or Adelaide, and is responsible for:

- Conducting research and analysis to develop policy positions that align with MIGA's strategy in the areas of:

- Medico-legal and professional standards
- Insurance and regulation of the medical indemnity industry, nationally and internationally
- Representing MIGA to advocate for policy positions
- Providing advice, guidance and presentations to internal and external parties
- Working collaboratively across the MIGA business to pull together integrated policy responses.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Bachelor's degree in law, political science, public policy or a related field
- Hold and maintain Tier 2 education level as per ASIC PS 146 Licencing: Training of financial product advisors
- Previous experience in public policy and advocacy, preferably in a peak body or related organisation
- Experience in coordinating policy and advocacy activities and contributing to meeting an organisation's strategic objectives
- Experience in facilitating the development of educational sessions
- Experience working with state and federal government bodies
- Experience working with industry stakeholders, preferably in the Health or Medical industries.
