**The Opportunity**

Reporting to our QLD Operations Manager, our Inventory Manager is responsible for delivering a high performance, customer-focused, inventory management culture with a deep understanding of how the function impacts the business fulfilment goals. You will ensure the delivery of best-in-class inventory management practices across 13,000+ SKUs to achieve our key metrics.

You will have the responsibility of managing financial performance of the inventory metrics in relation to SOH KPIs, stock accuracy, OOS and OSMI KPIs as well as inventory capital management.

You will utilise data to make informed, commercially astute decisions, have an analytical mind with the ability to articulate and communicate, both verbally and written, recommendations to the business.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Ensure that inventory is available in the right locations at all times to service customer needs.
- Work with Customer Operations to fulfil waiting orders.

Stock Management_**
- Make sure all zones are set up correctly.
- Move stock around as needed to promote a more effective picking environment.
- Closely monitor and maintain stock levels in the fulfilment centre.
- Schedule and run stock takes and cycle counts with accurate reporting on any variances identified.
- Identify and monitor stock accuracy issues and products approaching expiry dates. Identify root causes of the expiry dates and the stock accuracy issues (supplier issue stock turns etc.).
- New product approval and space allocation.
- Infrastructure reviews, this is both physical (buy more racking) and system (zone set-up/review).
- Understanding of stock value of warehouse and the drivers for it, feeding back into the demand planning process.
- Oversee issue resolution - missing items, reasons for damages, stock cycling for expiry dates.
- Efficiency recommendations based on sales for pick runs as well as efficiency from replenishment and put away.
- Clear operational plan for put away and storage requirements for containers and bulk purchases.
- Maintaining the returns process. Manage a defined area in the warehouse for returns, out of date goods, damaged and un-saleable goods.
- Assist in the design and document processes that promote high accuracy and efficiency.

Relationship Management_**
- Internal: Key driver of the S&OP function.
- External: Fostering partnerships with all external and internal stakeholders to promote trust in regards to stock accuracy.
- Form strong working relationships with other areas of the business with a focus on Business Management, planning and the warehouse.
- Ensure there is a program to allow for succession planning of the role.
- Maintain good working relationships with your Manager, your peers and subordinates.

Range Optimization_**
- Assist the business by on-boarding new product lines in regards to import or direct delivery strategies.

Planning / Process_**
- Using a continuous learning methodology to understand and evaluate current processes end to end, with the ability to improve, create, publish and maintain SOP’s for the role. The end goal is to implement more simple and efficient processes.

Analytics and Reporting_**
- Run analysis on inventory movement, with recommendations using methods such as OSMI reports and CuSum analysis.
- Reporting - weekly and monthly review of stock loss and reasons and actions to address the root causes.
- Reporting - missing items to be cleared within 48 hours of being categorised that way.

Project Management_**
- Contribute to operational strategic plans; implementing productivity and quality standards and identifying system improvements. This would include working with IT to implement projects such as EDI, automated planning processes etc.
- Execute strategic plans as communicated by the Supply Chain Director and Operations Manager.
- Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in real-time.
