About the School
Kingaroy State High School is located in the rural community of the South Burnett, approximately 250 km north-west of Brisbane. Kingaroy High has a proud history of preparing students for their chosen post-school pursuit, thus fulfilling its motto, 'integer et diligens' (integrity and diligence, Honest and Hardworking). Staff are active in professional development, with every staff member participating. Parents are heavily involved in the school and support the work of staff. About the Role
**As Head of Department - Student Engagement and Arts, you will**:
- Assure assessment, unit planning and reporting alignment with Australian Curriculum in the Arts department.
- Engage in the school's collegial engagement framework.
- Nurture positive relationships between students, staff and stakeholders.
- Implementing behaviour management in line with school and departmental guidelines.
- Leading and contribute to PBL initiatives to improve educational outcomes for students.
- Lead tier 2 PBL support of year 9 cohort.
- Support delivery of evidence based strategies and approaches for behaviour support to build a safe, supportive and disciplined school learning environment.
