About the role
As The Staff Specialist you will be expected to participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient, and equitable clinical service to Emergency patients of the hospital and to contribute to the continual upgrading of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality medical care to patients in an emergency situation together with knowledge of current emergency medicine treatments and protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and train junior staff.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Registered as a specialist in Emergency Medicine.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B7
