Liverpool City Council has an exciting position available for an experienced Waste Education officer to join our Waste Planning and Policy department. This position is integral to the Waste Management team and will assist Council in driving changes to achieve Local recovery targets and outcomes.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Develop, implement, and evaluate education and promotion projects for domestic waste and resource recovery.
- Liaising with section’s contractors
- Developing and maintaining strong links with Government authorities and other Council’s
- Liaising with the marketing and media officers of the Communications department to develop educational and promotional resources for waste management and resource recovery education.
- Improving resident awareness and/or participation in associated resource recovery and sustainability issues

**ABOUT YOU**

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:

- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Education, Natural Resource Management, or related Field.
- Hold a valid class C Drivers Licence.
- Developing, planning and implementation and evaluate educational programs
- Demonstrated experience in understanding of budget.
- Sound oral and written communications skills in order to effectively liaise with staff, customers and external organisations and prepare reports.
- Great positive and flexible attitude to responsibilities and working hours and be able to prioritize workloads and work unsupervised.
