We are currently recruiting for two Explosive Ordnance Armaments Technicians (Mechanical) in Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) at Orchard Hills in the Department of Defence.
Located in in Orchard Hills NSW, these roles will be working in one of our Guided Weapons maintenance facilities on some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force.
You will spend your days:
- Undertaking exciting electronic/mechanical technical maintenance to maintain and certify Guided Weapons. This end-to-end process includes maintenance, breakdown, repair, assembly, alignment, calibration, test, inspection and technical certification.
- Following procedures in a highly regulated environment.

Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) within Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Delivery Division, which is part of GWEO Group. We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Amberley, Melbourne and Stirling, and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.

EMB comprises approximately 560 dedicated employees performing requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal activities.
EMB partners with domestic and international industry to deliver materiel capability to Defence, managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities to support the ADF.
