**Position Summary**:
Aussie Life Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at one of our SIL Houses. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently. If you are a compassionate, patient, and reliable individual with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, we want to hear from you.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide daily support and assistance to residents in their day-to-day activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes independence and social interaction.
- Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
- Assist residents in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records as required.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including allied health professionals, to ensure the holistic well-being of residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check Current Driver’s license
- Car registration and insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Orientation Module
- NDIS Infection Control Module
- Cert 4 in disability or cert 4 in individual support is desirable
- Commitment to providing exceptional support
- Great communication skills.
- Medication administrative certificate
- Manual Handling Skills
