ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Purchasing team in the role of Purchasing Officer based from Knoxfield in a permanent capacity.
The position will suit a highly organised, motivated and professional person looking to provide outstanding customer service through advanced administration and communication skills.
You will work alongside a small friendly team who are hardworking but also love a bit of fun to keep them all motivated. If you want to become a key player within this friendly and dynamic team and help take the purchasing department to the next level, then this is the role for you
Key responsibilities of this role are to streamline the demand and purchasing activities, support the Purchasing team, reconcile monthly consignment stock and follow up on outstanding purchase orders, as well as curate data and develop weekly and monthly insights for the team.

**Daily responsibilities will include the following**:
Ensure the company is procuring quality supplies and services at competitive prices to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Management of the ERP for end to end purchasing processes alongside the purchasing team
Manage and follow-up on deliveries and ensure confirmation for service & goods are accurately recorded and monitored in the ERP system.
Source suppliers for new products, negotiate pricing and liaise with Customer Service, Product Management and Quality.
Ensure compliance with suppliers and internal departments.
Responsible for order placements as requested by Planning Department and Customer Service
Responsible for liaising with suppliers on new product designs and developments

Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices
Hands-on experience with purchasing software (SAP/PRONTO)
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Strong analytical skills and approach to problem solving
Negotiation skills
