Payments Financial Institution Group Sales, Associate (12 months fixed term contract)

As the non-bank financial institutions sector continues to show strong momentum across the APAC region, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of the growth strategy for both NBFI (Non-Bank Financial Institutions) as we as third party payment processors (TP3s) across both inbound and outbound clients for Australia. The role will also have regional accountability for certain strategically focused clients with the NBFI portfolio. The core focus of the role will be on providing the full suite of Wholesale Payment capabilities including cash management, foreign exchange, liquidity, and information management solutions to this sector.

Reporting to the Head of FIG Sales, Australia, you will be a strong hunter with responsibility for origination and execution of new business across the NBFI as well as payment processor sectors.

The role requires a strong team player who will work collaboratively with global, and regional stakeholders including Global Corporate Bank, Securities Services, Markets, Investor Client Management and other CIB colleagues.

The position is based in Australia - Sydney preferred.

**Responsibilities**:

- Focus on the firm wide strategic priorities the successful applicant will have responsibility of new sales and portfolio growth across the NBFI/ P3 sector covering Australia and regional markets.
- Drive active dialogue is expected with all clients across markets including sharing of industry trends and hosting of thought leadership forums.
- Originate and execute opportunities across the NBFI portfolio in dealing with Asset Managers, Insurance, Card Processing companies from a Transaction Banking perspective desired.
- Understand the risks associated with the payment processor sector including mitigants that need to be considered within the Wholesale Payments business.
- Take ownership for Know Your Customer (KYC) records for certain clients

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- University degree
- A minimum of 8-10 years work experience, with at least 5 year banking experience in wholesale and institutional segments.
- A minimum of 5 Years' Experience in cash management businesses. Ideally Transaction Banking and payments across all sectors of Non-Bank Financial Institutional sector.

- Experience in origination and execution strongly desired
- Have strong drive to ensure all facets of the business succeed.
- Drive origination across all sectors of the Non-Bank Financial sector as well as TP3 sectors.
- Have the ability to understand end-to-end payment flows, assess the associated risks and recommend mitigants to protect the firm
- Have a strong sense of personal accountability and ownership for everything we do for our clients, including ensuring we always do the right thing by the client
- Have risk and control at the forefront of all client engagement
