About the role
Duties
- Work closely with team members to deliver accurate and timely support, resolve local operational issues, and provide improvements to business operations and administration within the Secretariat Unit.
- Provide a variety of administrative and support functions to help ensure business objectives are met. These include preparing correspondence, file, and records management, reporting and reporting processes consistent with requirements established by the Unit and Division.
- Supporting the administration of Unit, Governing Board, Senior Executive Committee and subcommittee meetings, including room bookings, meeting preparation, preparing facilities for meetings/teleconferences, attending meetings, and taking minutes where required. Supporting the Unit to comply with EPA document management and governance requirements.
- Deliver specific service initiatives, projects, and process improvements in consultation with the Secretariat Unit.

Skills and experience
- A relevant tertiary degree or qualification in administration, governance, project management or a related discipline is desirable.
- Administrative level experience in the provision of assistance support to boards, preferably within Government, would be an advantage.
- Desired experience providing secretarial support to boards, committees, and senior executives, including use of software (Diligent or similar) for the drafting, review and publication of meeting papers and minutes.
- High level communications and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple competing demands.
