
Assessment and Support Practitioner

**Introduction**:
This critical and most enjoyable role interfaces with our potential participants, their families, CRCS families providing guidance, support and direction.
You will manage referrals, undertake initial assessments and participate in allocating to our programmes.
As a confident and optimistic person you will instill confidence in our participants and support them in their choices.
**Description**:
An ideal role for an optimistic, knowledgeable and committed social worker, community services or social sciences practitioner who enjoys front facing interaction, and being the person who begins the process and guides and support throughout. You will also gain satisfaction from promoting the services of CRCS to our potential participants and building relationships with our key stakeholders and networking at external meetings and forums.
Working 40 hours per fortnight (5hrs per day x 8 days) on this 1 year contract gives you many options for further study, a great lifestyle and variety. Our dedicated team will welcome you as a person who represents them, makes the initial impression and relationship and they in turn will inspire you by their commitment to their important and meaningful work.
To be considered for this exciting role with amazing hours and conditions you must have a Diploma or Degree in Social work, Education, Psychology or other relevant field. You will also be able to demonstrate your organisational skills, your resilience and optimism shown in former roles. You will also have experience in interpreting and understanding relevant legislation, policies and practices that impact on our service delivery and be comfortable conducting initial/outreach visits to participants with an allocated practitioner
It is essential to have a current drivers license and access to a car.

- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
- Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
