About the Strategic Engagement Unit:
The Strategic Engagement unit is responsible for the delivery of initiatives that support student engagement and re-engagement in education, training or employment. Each team contributes in different capacities to support alternative learning options for students facing challenges with their engagement in education at different intensities and for different reasons.
The unit's portfolio has a broad remit which includes:
Statewide student engagement initiatives and programs, including the ongoing implementation, oversight and quality monitoring of program delivery.
Regional youth engagement and case management services.
Policy, reporting and system guidance relating to students in contact with youth justice.
About the Role:
As the Manager you will:
Provide leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of the unit's priorities, ensuring that the outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of, the department's agenda.
Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the unit's priorities.
