The Avenues Group currently operates 16 high quality Early Learning centres across Brisbane, providing education and care for over 1500 children each day.

**The Role**

As the Kitchenhand, you will oversee the daily operations providing healthy, nutritious and delicious meals for children from 0-6 years of age.

The role will reuire 2 days in the kitchen and for those with relevant Early Childhood Education qualifications, a further 3 days working as an assistant educator in the rooms.

**Your responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Running the day to day operations of the kitchen
- Preparing food that adhere to allergy and medical and/or intolerance requirements during food preparation
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with Food Safety Program.
- Implementing high level of food safety standards at all times, while having a strong sense of children's nutritional and dietary requirements
- Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack
- Assisting in the room for those with a relevant Early Childhood qualificaiton where required

**About You**
- Previous Kitchen experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Minimu Cert III Early Childhood Education qualificaiton
- Food Handler's Certificate - or be willing to obtain one
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
